The State Enterprise

The State Enterprise Policy Office yesterday granted approval to the State Railway of Thailand (SRT) to set up two subsidiaries. One will oversee rail operations, while the other will manage SRT assets. The move is part of the state agency's rehabilitation plan.

Deputy Finance Minister Pradit Pataraprasit said a committee had already approved the SRT rehabilitation plan.

The SRT will submit the plan for Cabinet consideration next Tuesday and must completely set up the two subsidiaries within 30 days after it receives Cabinet approval.
