House committee to rule on Thai Mobile-payment.

The House of Representative's communications and telecoms committee tomorrow will decide whether payment made by TOT to Samart I-Mobile (SIM) for overdue fees for state-run Thai Mobile was appropriate.

Committee chairman Ronritthichai Kankhet yesterday said a subcommittee had reached a preliminary conclusion questioning whether the payment had harmed TOT's interests.

He said the subcommittee decided that the payment for overdue customer-service and billing-management fees had been made without the TOT board's approval, because the board had only told the management to act as it deemed appropriate in the case.
