After posting combined net losses of almost $23 million in 1994 and '95, Milford-based Structural Dynamics Research Corp. turned around its fortunes to finish last year with net income of $33.7 million.
"We've been working really hard in the past two years," said Albert Peter, president and chief executive officer of the Milford-based software firm. "We've streamlined the company and improved the infrastructure."
For the first quarter of 1997, SDRC reported a loss of $12.4 million on sales of $80.7 million. But that resulted from a one-time charge of $20.9 million related to the acquisition of Metaphase Technologies Inc.
Peter said the first quarter gave SDRC "a good start toward accomplishing our financial objectives this year."
