The federal stimulus money is expected to create a lot of work for state auditors who regularly pour over the state's financial books in search of fraud and mismanagement.
Legislative Auditor James Nobles told a joint House and Senate commission Thursday that he is already anticipating allegations of mishandling the more than $2 billion that will flow into Minnesota. Nobles told the Legislative Commission on Planning and Fiscal Policy that his office will receive requests for special reviews and investigations.
