The Cabinet will today consider a proposal for a 100-per-cent pay hike for kamnans and village headmen, equivalent to an additional Bt10.3-billion spending per year, in a bid to boost their morale.
Interior Minister Chaovarat Chanweerakul said during yesterday's visit to the Provincial Administration Department that the pay hike would be proposed to the Cabinet to tackle the problem of high cost of living.
