Winslet's weird Oscar prediction AT THIS week's Oscars , Kate Winslet finally fulfilled her dream of winning best actress for her role as a former Nazi in The Reader. Winslet couldn't have been too shocked: she predicted the circumstances of her victory four years ago. In 2005 Winslet played herself in Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant's comedy Extras.
