Feb. 28--Defending champion Ernie Els, world No. 2 Sergio Garcia and No. 10 Camilo Villegas headline the field for next week's Honda Classic at PGA National Resort & Spa in Palm Beach Gardens.

Northern Ireland's Rory McIlroy, England's Justin Rose and U.S. Ryder Cup standout Boo Weekley also were among those committing before Friday's deadline to enter.

"Having a defending champion like Ernie is tremendous for us," Honda Classic Executive Director Kenneth Kennerly said. "It helps grow the worldwide reputation of the tournament and also increases the international player interest in competing in The Honda Classic."
