SA, Australia to collaborate on telescope programme Cape Correspondent CAPE TOWN Science Minister Mosibudi Mangena yesterday announced a major scientific collaboration with Australia which, along with SA, is the main contender to host the revolutionary Square Kilometre Array (SKA) radio telescope.

Mangena made the announcement at the SKA forum, where international astronomers, government representatives and business and industry players were updated on the SKA project, one of the world's most ambitious science projects to detect the very faint signals from the early universe.
