Helio Castroneves's federal tax-evasion case is still on schedule, according to his employer.
"He's getting ready for March 2, Penske Racing owner Roger Penske said, referring to the expected start of the trial in U.S. District Court in Miami. "He's ready to put this behind him.
Castroneves was indicted in November, along with his sister, Kati, who served as his business manager during a period in which Castroneves is alleged to have illegally diverted $5.5 million in U.S. wages through offshore accounts. An attorney employed by Castroneves, Alan Miller, also faces charges. Castroneves's defense tried to separate Miller from the driver's trial, but the court denied that request last week.
