The Top 100 Employers of the Class of '09 is an elite group of employers who in spite of the economic meltdown have maintained their on-campus recruiting programs. While their numbers of projected hires is down substantially (-42 percent), from the 2008 projections, the employers on the list are still hiring for full-time and internship opportunities.
The survey was conducted during November and December of 2008 and included major employers who historically recruit on college campuses for entry-level positions. The employers were asked to provide their projected number of entry-level hires at the Bachelor's and Master's degree level and the number of campuses they recruit on. They were also asked to list the majors they are recruiting. The compiled data resulted in the Top 100 Employers of the Class of '09.
