The new editor of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel said that unlike his predecessor, he can watch the bottom line and be passionate about news at the same time.
Martin Kaiser was promoted from managing editor to editor of the daily newspaper, replacing Mary Jo Meisner, who resigned as of Jan. 10 as senior vice president and editor after almost four years on the job. Meisner was criticized by some reporters for caring more about the bottom line than about the quality of the newspaper.
