Friends' investment club grows $422,000 portfolio.

A local investment club has been formed to provide money for start-up companies in the St. Louis area.

The Can-Do Early Stage Venture Capital Investment Club L.C. enables its investor-members to pool their money to invest in local, early-stage entrepreneurial companies. The club's goal is to identify and invest in young companies offering high potential rates of return.

The club was officially formed March 1, 1996, by Marc Braun, a securities attorney with the Stolar Partnership. Braun has represented several early-stage entrepreneurs in St. Louis throughout his career.
