A driver who's good enough for 2007 Formula One champion Kimi Raikkonen figures to be good enough for Dreyer & Reinbold Racing. Mike Conway, 25, is D&R's new driver for the upcoming IndyCar season.
The Brit has two significant ties to Raikkonen: Before moving to the GP2 Series and serving in Honda's F1 test program, where he spent the past two seasons, Conway won the 2006 British Formula Three championship in runaway fashion for Raikkonen Robertson Racing. Conway also won the same British Formula Renault title (in 2004) that Raikko-nen won in 2000. Lewis Hamilton won the Renault title in 2003.
Fellow British driver Dan Clarke, who preceded Conway on Raikkonen's F3 team, raced with Conway in their junior days and said he has been known for his professionalism on the track.
