CEBU CITY - Visayan Electric Co., Inc. (VECO) will migrate to an Oracle customer care application later this year to improve services to its growing customer base. Sebastian R. Lacson, vice-president for administration and customer services, said the Oracle Utilities Customer Care and Billing would allow the company to better manage its relationship with customers from the time the customer applies for a service connection. "[Oracle] will allow us to manage the whole process better," Mr. Lacson said. He declined to specify the amount that VECO will invest in the system, but said it would be installed in the last quarter. VECO serves around 300,000 customers in Cebu City and …
