Parties go hi-tech to raise poll millions General Reporter POLITICAL parties are resorting to technology in order to raise the money they require to contest the upcoming elections.

The Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP) and the African Christian Democratic Party (ACDP) said this week they were hoping to raise millions of rands through a cellphone payments fundraising initiative, Pocit Elect.

Tradebridge, the holding company for the Pocit cellphone payment system, said seven parties were using cellphone payment fundraising through Pocit Elect to cover the registration fee to contest the elections.
