Feb. 2--BOYNTON BEACH -- The former cow pastures are now this city's hippest playground. Renaissance Commons, a medley of shops, restaurants, bars and condominiums spanning 200 acres, has transformed Boynton Beach's social landscape from lackluster to lively. It's Boynton Beach's response to Mizner Park in Boca Raton and CityPlace in West Palm Beach on a smaller scale. Without an amphitheater or courtyard, people can't congregate, but Renaissance Commons has well-lit walkways, letting people dine and walk somewhere for a drink or live music.
