This year's conference was a combined effort by NZAE and the Econometric Society (Australasian region). It marked the 50th anniversary of the publication in Economica of Bill Phillips' paper on what came to be known as the "Phillips Curve". (3) The conference, Markets and Models: Policy Frontiers in the AWH Phillips Tradition, was held in Wellington, New Zealand between 9th and 11th July.
