Road Mice (Editors' Favorite Plaything)
Now you can drive your Mustang, Charger, Corvette or Camaro all day long even while sitting in your cubicle. Road Mice are wireless computer mice shaped like muscle cars. Left or right clicks are done by pressing the left or right front of the hood. The spot where the shaker scoop would be is where the scroll wheel pops out. The headlights even work! They are so cool!
Prices range from $30 for the wired version to $45 for wireless. A deal was just inked with Lamborghini, and other brands are in the works. Road Mice are distributed by Red Lion Interactive and available at retail stores everywhere. If you can't find them, requestno, demandthat your retailer stock them.
BLAUPUNKT MIROAMER
Right now, you can get 30 or 40 channels on your plain old car radio. XM and Sirius give you maybe 100 more. Peanuts! With the Blaupunkt miRoamer, you will instantly have access to more than 30,000 stations from around the world. How is this possible? The Internet! The miRoamer will use a cellular interface to connect to the Internet and pipe into your car any Web site that broadcasts audio content. That means Radio Free Botswana, baby!
It also will play AM and FM stations, if you still insist on those. The Blaupunkt unit on display in the miRoamer booth at CES will be available in the second half of this year for between $300 and $400. Other manufacturers will follow.
