"We aimed to again exceed the expectations of customers all over the world by a wide margin, said program manager Yoshiyuki Maeda. "This meant providing drivers with a sense of exhilaration, whether they were in motion, seated in the Mazda 3's cockpit or enjoying its appearance from outside.
Enough of the zoom-zoom-speak. What Maeda means is that he tapped Mazda's global engineering resources in Japan, Europe and the United States to produce an encore to what is a damn fine little car.
Mazda's success can be measured first of all in the car's assured handling and quiet ride, two things that are hard to find at the entry level.
