Local workers' continued trust and confidence in their bosses will allow local companies to get through the crisis better than their Asian neighbors, global consulting firm Watson Wyatt Worldwide said.

In a study, Watson Wyatt said there is a strong link between employees who uphold and contribute to attain company values and key business measures such as productivity and turnover.

"Firms who help their employees focus on achieving company goals are best suited to weather the tough business environment ahead," it pointed out.
