MTV is to axe up to 80 UK jobs as part of parent company Viacom's plans to cut 850 posts worldwide. The UK cuts would amount to around 10 per cent of MTV's headcount of 750. MTV is also reviewing the future of its UK production facilities and transmission services, with the possible outcome of outsourcing in both areas.
