THE Federal government Wednesday urged the Minister of Commerce and Industry, Achike Udenwa to ensure that the N70 billion set aside for the revival of the ailing textile industry in the country was fully implemented.
According to the government, it has become imperative for immediate implementation of the policy if the revival of the moribund textile companies in the country must be a reality, just as it stressed that with the shortfall in the total output of the country's industrial sector, the onus is now on the government to revive the textile sector of the economy.
