Police Delete Ribadu's Name From Staff List.

AUTHORITIES of the Nigerian Police Force have deleted the name of the former Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, from the staff list, following his dismissal from the Force by the Police Service Commission on the recommendation of the Force Disciplinary Committee.

The deletion of Ridadu's name which is covered by the Public Service Rules, took effect from December 22, 2008, the day of his dismissal and is coming after the former EFCC Chairman had put in 22 years in service, since 1986 when he joined the Force as a Cadet intake.

Confirming the deletion of Ribadu's name from the Police Staff list to Vanguard, a senior Police officer said the implication is that Ribadu did not exist in Police records and that all his years of service in different capacities in the force were in vain.
