Sverdrup Corp. and McDonnell Douglas Corp. are asking St. Louis commercial real estate firms to help them form a strategic plan for Riverport.

The firms, which own the Maryland Heights office park and 235 acres of undeveloped ground, are asking a handful of commercial real estate firms to evaluate the property and come up with a game plan. People familiar with the process say Sverdrup and McDonnell are leaning toward selling the entire project, but are open-minded to other ideas.

This entreaty to the local real estate community coincides with McDonnell Douglas' announced merger with Boeing Co. and the diminished role of Sverdrup's real estate arm, Sverdrup Investments Inc. The …
