Govt OK's crime-prevention plan / Help for troubled youths, beefed-up consumer protection top agenda
The government on Monday decided on an action plan for crime prevention focusing on helping young people who feel isolated in society and supporting their return to normal life.
The move comes in the wake of a recent series of serious crimes committed by young people, such as the indiscriminate stabbing in Tokyo's Akihabara district in June.
