Facing increasing competition from new intermodal operators in Europe, Intercontainer-Interfrigo has positioned itself as a pan-European operator using a wide variety of sales channels.
As Europe's largest intermodal operator, the cooperative of 28 railroads sees itself in a unique position to offer a wide range of services to many types of maritime and intra-European customers.
"We differ from all the other operators and from (national) railways," said Soren Rasmussen, managing director. "We are European-wide - European-wide up to Kazakstan."
