HART: This is the best mainstream Ford product I've driven in a long time. The Shelby Mustang GT500KR was great, too, but this car is meant more for the masses, despite the sticker price. The interior is nice, with comfortable seats and a straightforward, intuitive layout of the controls. The radio with Sync is easy to operate, as is the navigation system.
The Flex drives big, though, but along with that feeling of size, you get decent cargo space with the rear seats folded down. The engine is a bit buzzy when driven hard, but once you're out of the throttle, it quiets right down, and NVH is actually quite good. This is a somewhat polarizing design; some people like it, more don't. The Flex would be a decent daily driver, but at the price of this tester, it's at least $5,000 too ...
