from THE JAKARTA POST -- THURSDAY, DECEMBER 18, 2008 -- PAGE 24 JAKARTA: Despite his big name as a sinetron (TV drama) actor, Christian Sugiono couldn't avoid paying illegal fees to a subdistrict official when he tried to get a letter stating his address.

Christian was charged Rp 500,000 (US$43) by a staff member at the Pulo subdistrict office, South Jakarta, even though the regulation says it is supposed to be free of charge.

The 27-year-old actor questioned the procedure, especially the request to give the money in a sealed envelope.
