Execs say no, but ad agency adopts Chiat/Day systems

DOWNTOWN - Employees at Ketchum Advertising Pittsburgh are perplexed by the agency's conversion to business systems used by TBWA Chiat/Day.

Executives say it's simply a business decision and not an indication that the Ketchum name will disappear from the Pittsburgh ad landscape, taking the name of its supervising group within the giant network of Omnicom Group Inc.

Ketchum's switch to the same accounting, billing, benefits and media buying software used by Chiat/Day should be completed by Jan. 1.

But Ketchum has provided no information to employees about the shift in control.
