President Banda has asked the Supreme Court to dismiss, with costs, Patriotic Front president, Michael Sata's petition against his election as head of State on October 30.

Mr Banda, in a reply to the petition filed against him by Mr Sata, says he was duly-elected during the presidential election because he received the highest number of votes among the candidates that participated in the polls.
