Dec. 9--The Daily Telegram, Superior, Wis., Obituaries Gerald Joseph "Jerry" Stariha, 67, of Superior, died unexpectedly in St. Mary's Medical Center, Duluth, on Monday, Dec. 8, 2008, following surgery.
He was born Jan. 31, 1941, in Shell Lake, to Violet (Thibadeau) and Adolph Stariha and has been a Superior resident since the 1980s.
He was a member of the Army National Guard and had been activated to Fort Lewis, Wash. For thirty-three years he was an employee of the Chicago & Northwestern Railroad retiring as a conductor in 1993.
Jerry was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church, the United Transportation Union, and he was a founding member of the H. M. W. H. C. He was an avid outdoorsman. He loved being outdoors, hunting and fishing and he was thankful that he was able to hunt during the last season. He …
