Luxury used car dealers runs afoul of lender. (Winston Motorcars Inc.)

A local entrepreneur who made a big splash selling secondhand luxury cars has taken his dealership into bankruptcy after being sued by a prime lender.

Winston Domingue's upscale auto dealership, Winston Motorcars Inc., filed for Chapter 11 reorganization in late September, hours after lender Olympic Financial Ltd. filed suit in Houston federal court accusing Domingue and his company of breach of contract.

The lawsuit and bankruptcy essentially have severed Winston Motorcars' financial relationships with its financiers and left dozens of dealership customers owing thousands of dollars - many for more than one vehicle.

In recent years. Domingue had built a reputation as a used car dealer to the rich and famous, particularly in the sports arena. His list of repeat customers included the likes of former Houston Oiler Webster …
