Ibarra upends Real Spicy, tops Danding Cup.

THE ALL-COMERS CHAMPION-ship boiled down to a race among the only two locals entered, with the star of today having just a little more in besting the star of the very recent past.
Ibarra jumped out of the gates hard and then held off Real Spicy the rest of the way to rule the 2008 Marho Breeders Cups centerpiece Amb. Eduardo Cojuangco Jr. Cup by three lengths at the Sta. Ana Park in Makati.
The four-year-old son of Yonaguska out of Dire Down Under, who was handled by Kelvin Abobo, warded off the pressure applied by Real Spicy and Patty Dilema to win the lung-busting 2,050-meter journey in 2:09.6.
