RULING FAVORS FISKER
An arbitrator in California has ruled in favor of Fisker Automotive in its dispute with competing California electric-car maker Tesla Motors. The arbitrator found no wrong-doing on the part of Fisker, calling the evidence "overwhelming, according to a state-ment issued by Fisker. A Tesla spokesman said the company disagreed with the ruling.
Tesla had sued Fisker in April, alleging that Fisker stole Tesla's hybrid technology and used it to develop its own car. CEO Henrik Fisker did design and interior work on Tesla's WhiteStar sedan, now called the Model S, which is due in mid-2011.
Fisker said it remains on track to bring its four-door luxury plug-in electric sedan, the Karma, to the market in late 2009.
