THE BOTTOM LINE: VERY GOOD

Sendmail with POP3 for Windows NT 1.1

MetaInfo has made the daunting task of installing, configuring, and administering a sendmail server easy. Sendmail 1.1 supports many of the features important to users of Unix-based sendmail implementations, such as e-mail alias files, mailing-list files, .forward files for forwarding mail to specified addresses, and the extended M4 macro set.

Pros: Ease of installation; support for alias, mail-list, and .forward files; compatibility with Unix sendmail configuration and data files; POP3-based password authentication; capability of using Windows NT user database or standard PASSWD.TXT file for user accounts; support of most sendmail rule sets and macros.

Cons: Requires Windows NT 3.51 or later; poor documentation.
