HART: The TL has always been one of the cars I'd seriously consider if I were in this market. It's the right size for me, has enough performance to keep things interesting and is usually Acura's test bed for leading technology. This new TL is all that and more. But the moreas in more stylingmay be what would keep me away from this new model.

Critics, including some from this publication, have bashed Honda and Acura for their white-bread styling. You can't say that about this car. There are enough angles on this thing to please the designer of a Klingon bird of prey. It's not a design I've warmed up to yet, and I'm afraid I never might.

The cabin is what we've come to expect from Acura in recent years. There are tons of switches, and even though I spent just one night with the car, the controls became familiar very quickly. Maybe having the MDX with us for a year helped, because while the layout is different, there are ...
