SCIROCCO REVIVED?

Volkswagen may yet bring its Scirocco sport coupe to the United States. In March, VW said it would not sell the Scirocco in the States, but prodding from enthusiasts and the Scirocco's popularity in Europeit returned there in August after 16 yearshave VW executives rethinking that decision, a spokesman said.

ALFA, INTERRUPTED

The global financial crisis means that Alfa Romeo's often-delayed return to the United States is postponed again.

Alfa had planned to introduce the 8C Competizione this summer but pushed it back to 2010, and now Fiat CEO Sergio Marchionne says that Alfa's U.S. return won't come until 2011. Marchionne told analysts, "It would be simply crazy investing for returning Alfa in such a depressed U.S. market.

CAMARO WINNER

A winning bid of $73,000 claimed the rights to the third production 2010 Chevrolet Camaro, auctioned online to benefit the College for Creative Studies in Detroit.
