Maconomy NE Inc. in October rolled out Version 2.8 of Maconomy, its modular, client-server accounting software.
The new version includes improved access controls in job-costing modules. Users can now view subsets of jobs only in those areas where administrators grant access.
Customers who maintain inventories can now include products within job-costing files, circumventing the need to invoice clients from two separate modules. Expanding on inventory options, Maconomy 2.8 now supports the FIFO system. Previously, users could choose from Last Cost, Average Cost and Standard Cost.
