Producers of electronics materials are expected to better withstand the expected slowdown in the global economy due to sustained consumer interest in new technological gadgets. Sales of electronics products have remained strong despite growing public concern about surging fuel and food costs. Analysts expect that sales for major product lines will stay fairly robust until 2010. However, electronic material producers' margins are also being pressured by surging raw material, transportation and labor costs.
