from BERNAMA, The Malaysian National News Agency KUALA LUMPUR, July 21 (Bernama) -- Sawmillers and exporters must make appropriate adjustments to comply with standards and regulations imposed by importing nations, Deputy Minister of Plantation Industries and Commodities A.

Kohilan Pillay said today.

He said they must also understand consumers' concerns on health, safety and environmental issues.

"More importing countries are insisting on compliance to international standards, labelling, certification, technical requirements and phytosanitary regulations," he said.
