The organisers of Uganda's premier music award event welcomed a new country - Burundi, to Pearl of Africa Music (Pam) Awards family on Saturday.

This is in line with the organiser's vision of making the Pam Awards a continental event. Though the five countries that take part are still a long walk to the 53 nations that this continent boasts of, at least the East African region is fully represented.
