ITV is set to launch its new Granada TV general entertainment channel in India and South Asia after securing deals with ABS-1 satellite and India's NDTV.

The new channel is part of ITV's plan to double its international revenues by 2012, and will rely heavily on UK content, including shows such as The Friday Night Project, Prime Suspect and The Jeremy Kyle Show.
