A third season of Mad Men, the Emmy award-winning series about a 60s Madison Avenue ad agency, is in doubt because its creator, Matthew Weiner, has yet to sign up for it.
Weiner is said to have asked AMC, the US channel on which Mad Men airs, for a new deal worth dollars 10 million a year and control of promotion and advertising.
AMC and Lionsgate, the production company behind the show, are thought to be unwilling to part with that sort of money.
