A British newspaper (Daily Telegraph) wrote on Saturday [2 August], quoting Ed Butler, who led the British troops in Afghanistan for six months, that there are people in Kandahar Province who hold British passports, are British residents but actively support the Taleban and Al-Qa'idah attacks on the coalition forces in the south of Afghanistan.

This newspaper supported this claim by quoting a few other apparently accurate British government sources. It would be very difficult to understand exactly the minds of the veteran …
