from BERNAMA, The Malaysian National News Agency PENANG, Aug 5 (Bernama) -- The federal government should proceed with the project to expand the Mengkuang Dam which is crucial as a strategic reserve for water supply to the people and industries in Penang.
Gerakan acting president Tan Sri Dr Koh Tsu Koon, who is also the former Chief Minister, said the project was originally approved under the Ninth Malaysia Plan (9MP) and a sum was allocated for land acquisition.
