Panasonic Communications & Systems Co. is set to ship a high-speed, high-resolution color laser printer by the end of 1996--eight months later than expected.
The 600-by-600-dpi KX-P8475 will be slightly faster and less expensive than first announced (see 12.04.95, Page 6). The $6,000 device will output letter-size pages at up to 5 color and 14 monochrome pages per minute. Panasonic said the color laser will print at 1,200 dpi if its base 8 Mbytes of RAM is expanded to 24 Mbytes.
