Prisons Department staff bleed for a cause.
The Jerudong Prisons Department held a blood donation drive at the Dewan Bukit yesterday. Some 39 prison officers and wardens participated in the charitable campaign.
Present at the event was the Director of Prisons, Dato Paduka Hj Ahmad bin Dullah. The blood donation campaign, organised every three months, is part of the Prisons Department's commitment to help the local communities and provide opportunities for both the officers and staff to donate their blood to the needy.
The Immigration Department, Language and Literature Bureau and NBT Sdn Bhd will also be organising a blood donation drive, as part of their preparations for the month of Ramadhan. …
