The North province of Nan has been underwater for three days and damages are estimated at Bt10 million.

Governor Sompong Anuyutthapong reports that since August 6 floodwaters in Thung Chang, Chiang Klang, Pua, and Tha Wang Pha districts are receding.

Muang, Wiang Sa and Phu Piang districts remain under a metre of water. This will take one to two days to recede.

Relief supplies are being distributed by boat to about 500 flooded homes in Muang municipality, he says.

Meanwhile, Princess Pa Foundation vice president Apai Chandanachulakasaid says it will send 1,300 relief bags to Muang, Wiang Sa and Phu Piang. …
