VOGELSITZE (M) Sdn Bhd is aiming to increase its share of the global passenger seat market, with the opening of a new facility in Tampoi, Johor Baru.

The Malaysian operations currently account for 30 per cent of German-based Vogelsitze GmbH's production of seats for buses, coaches, ferries and trains.

Vogelsitze group chairman Heiner Vogel said its business in Malaysia has expanded since the first facility was built at nearby Taman Universiti in 1994.
