Rubaga North MP Beti Kamya yesterday angrily walked out of an FDC crisis meeting called to discuss the controversy surrounding her recent resignation as envoy in the party president's office.
Sunday Monitor has learnt that Ms Kamya stormed out after Maj. Gen. Mugisha Muntu, the party's secretary for mobilisation, pressed her on alleged plans to start a breakaway party.
Sources at the meeting, who asked for anonymity in order to freely discuss proceedings with reporters, said that Gen. Muntu asked Ms Kamya why she was reportedly calling meetings of some FDC officials from Buganda and begging them to resign from the party.
